What is TECNIS®?

Designed to give patients back their youthful vision, the TECNIS Multifocal Lens provides patients with high-quality vision at any distance, and in any light condition -- even in low light. The TECNIS® Lens is the FIRST and ONLY wavefront-designed lens implant to have claims approved by the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for improved functional vision.

Only the advanced TECNIS® Multifocal Lens enables you to see clearly at near, intermediate, and far distances without glasses in all light conditions.

How does the TECNIS® Lens work?

Traditional intraocular lenses can restore distance vision, but they aren't designed to bring back the balance of youthful eyes. Images may not be as sharp as they could be, and you may be left with the functional vision of a healthy olders person, not of a young adult.

Using innovative wavefront lens technology, the TECNIS® Lens implant can restore your vision to that of a younger person. The TECNIS® Lens can improve functional vision so you can see well, even in low-light situations like driving at night, dining by candlelight or walking in a morning fog.

What results can I expect from a TECNIS® Lens?

The advanced TECNIS® Multifocal lens is an implantable lens that restores vision after cataract surgery and corrects presbyopia (the need for reading glasses). Is TECNIS® right for me?
