Eye Care from Batra Vision

At Batra Vision, our focus is providing the finest comprehensive eye care to our patients.  Our staff of eye care specialists and surgeons can treat a wide range of eye conditions, from routine to complex, and coordinate the management of your care.

Routine Eye Examination

Unlike many other systems in the body, diseases of the eye often lack symptoms until the later stages of the disease. Regular eye exams are an important part of detecting and treating eye diseases early. Conditions such as Glaucoma, retinal holes, and cataracts are often painless conditions yet have potentially devastating effects on vision.

With our staff of eye specialists, Batra Vision has the ability to care for your routine eye care while still having the depth of specialty to treat specific conditions that may be detected. From contact lens fitting to Glaucoma surgery, you can rest assured that we are here for you in all stages of your eye care.

Other Procedures

Diabetic retinopathy is a debilitating eye disease that causes the blood vessels in the retina to become blocked. If left untreated, severe vision impairment, detached retinas, or even blindness may occur. Batra Vision Medical Group offers a number of treatment options to manage diabetic retinopathy including vitrecotomy (replacement of the vitreous humor – the natural clear gel filling the eyeball – with a clear solution) and laser photocoagulation, a procedure that seals broken blood vessels within the eye.

Glaucoma, the leading cause of preventable blindness in the United States, is a condition in which increased pressure within the eye results in vision impairment and, if left untreated, possible blindness. While there’s no cure for glaucoma, Batra Vision offers many treatment options, from medications to surgical intervention, that reduce the increased pressure within the eyes. During a thorough eye exam, we ‘ll determine the best glaucoma treatment to meet your needs.

Blepharitis is the chronic inflammation of the eyelids commonly caused by seborrhea, a disruption of the eyelid’s ability to be moisturized properly. Blepharitis can also be caused by immune system reactions and or contact allergies. Blepharitis can be treated using various methods including warm compresses, safe ways of cleaning and scrubbing the eyelids, and antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medications.

Evaporative dry eye is a chronic condition that occurs when the tears in the eyes evaporate at a much faster rate than normal. Batra Vision can treat evaporative dry eye conditions using Lipiflow®, a revolutionary new technology that delivers controlled heat to the inner layer of the eyelid, releasing lipids (oil) from blocked glands. Batra Vision also treats dry eye patients with other treatment methods carefully selected for each individual patient.
